A recent FBI investigation resulted in the discovery that the major cell phone carriers are selling all or most all of their customer’s real-time location data to companies that distribute it to nearly anyone who is willing to pay for it, including debt collectors, other businesses, law enforcement, bounty hunters, and other entities.
This was a massive invasion of consumer privacy.
